Nexpace Unveils $50M MapleStory Universe Ecosystem Fund

Nexpace, the web3 arm of Nexon based in Abu Dhabi, has launched a $50 million ecosystem fund to expand its MapleStory Universe and the broader Nexpace ecosystem. This move comes six months after the successful launch of its PC MMORPG, MapleStory N, on its Avalanche-based Henesys blockchain.

The fund will support various web3 sectors, including user-generated content (UGC), tokenized real-world assets, AI, and financial infrastructure. Nexpace aims to transform MapleStory Universe from a blockchain game-focused project into a comprehensive on-chain consumer experience.

Projects supported by the fund will be based on the NXPC token and must interact with MapleStory N as a foundational layer, encouraging new ways to experience the MapleStory IP.

Funding for the Ecosystem Fund will come from Nexpace and strategic advisory partners, including VCs like Altos Ventures, Chainlink Labs, GSR, and Hashed Ventures. These partners will also provide mentorship and co-develop ecosystem initiatives for early-stage projects. All fund deployments will undergo an internal project review and approval process.
