Team Secret Activates Ecosystem with Anichess CHECK Token Integration

Esports team Team Secret is well-known for its activities in games like Dota 2, Valorant, and Rainbow Six Siege X, but it has also been experimenting with various web3 gaming projects for several years.

And it certainly seems to like Animoca’s chess-based Anichess.

Following an initial partnership in 2024, Team Secret has now joined what is known as the Checkmate ecosystem. This new name came after the launch of Anichess’ CHESS token on the Base blockchain in November 2025.

The agreement will see Team Secret launch an NFT membership pass and integrate the CHECK token across its various products, including payments for merchandise from its shop, tournament entry fees, and prize pools for selected community and professional-level events.

The pass will grant owners access to community tournaments, VIP ticket opportunities for global esports tours, and private Ask Me Anything sessions with Team Secret players.

As for participation in Anichess itself, Team Secret plans to host some high-profile tournaments for the game, including working with Checkmate launch ecosystem partner Chess.com.
