Community-Designed Avatar NFTs Launch
6th February 2026: The Sandbox has launched its first community collection of in-game avatars. These were the winning entries in the Community Avatar Design Contest, in which users could enter everything from 3D models to illustrations or physical objects.
More than 100 submissions were received, with 10 selected for originality, clarity and in-game feasibility.
Each avatar is now available in an edition of 250, priced at 29 SAND ($2.40).
